The price in a weight-loss medicine advertisement may not be the price you can use. Your prescription, insurance, pharmacy, and eligibility for a savings program all matter. Use this checklist to compare the options for the treatment your clinician has prescribed.
myleafrx savings guide · Information checked September 22, 2026 · U.S. information
Start with the exact prescription
Write down the brand, formulation, strength, quantity, and days’ supply. Keep that information beside you when comparing prices. A weekly pen, a vial, and a daily tablet can have different prices and program rules—even when the names look similar.
Ask the pharmacist to confirm the dispensing quantity. A package may contain several doses, and the quantity used for pharmacy billing may differ from the number of pens or tablets you expect. If the myleafrx search does not offer the exact quantity on your prescription, contact member support before relying on a displayed price.
Compare these payment options separately
- Your insurance price: ask your plan whether the exact product and prescribed use are covered, whether prior authorization is needed, and what you will owe now. Ask how the cost could change after a deductible or at renewal.
- A prescription discount coupon: compare the coupon price with the insurance price. A myleafrx discount is used instead of insurance for that fill; it does not reduce an insurance copay. SingleCare explains this distinction.
- A manufacturer savings offer: check the manufacturer’s official terms. Offers can have insurance requirements, government-program exclusions, dose restrictions, savings caps, or end dates. For example, Wegovy’s cost page separates available payment pathways. Its terms do not establish eligibility for a different medicine.
- A pharmacy or manufacturer cash-pay option: confirm the recurring price, exact formulation, included services, and whether a first-fill promotion changes later. Do not assume it can be combined with another coupon.
Write each quoted price on a separate line with the date and conditions. Comparing a first-month promotion with someone else’s maintenance prescription can hide the real ongoing cost.
2026 update: Medicare GLP-1 Bridge
The temporary Medicare GLP-1 Bridge began July 1, 2026. Medicare lists Foundayo tablets, Wegovy injections and tablets, and Zepbound KwikPen only for eligible beneficiaries with Part D coverage. The listed copayment is $50 for a one-month supply. This is a Medicare program, not a myleafrx price or coupon.
Clinical and enrollment requirements apply; eligibility is not automatic. People using GLP-1s for conditions coverable through their regular Part D benefit may need that coverage route instead. The Bridge copayment does not count toward the Part D deductible or out-of-pocket limit. Ask your prescriber and plan which route applies. Check Medicare’s current eligibility, covered formulations, and costs.
Using myleafrx to check an available price
- Search the prescribed medication and enter your ZIP code.
- Match the product, strength, form, and quantity to the prescription. If anything differs, ask for help.
- Compare participating pharmacies and confirm the exact product is in stock.
- Use the pharmacy-specific coupon from the matching result. Our coupon guide explains saving and printing.
- Before paying, ask the pharmacy to confirm the price and payment method you selected.
myleafrx is free to use, but you still pay the pharmacy for your medicine. Prices and available discounts vary. A search listing is not a stock guarantee, and some GLP-1 products or quantities may not be available through this search. Call 1-833-941-1140 if you need assistance.
Questions that can prevent a surprise bill
- Is this the full ongoing price or a limited introductory offer?
- Does it include the prescribed supply, and are visits or membership fees separate?
- Will this purchase count toward my plan’s deductible or out-of-pocket limit?
- What happens if my dose, formulation, pharmacy, or insurance changes?
- Can the pharmacy compare the insurance and coupon prices before processing the fill?
For Medicare, purchases made with a discount card instead of the plan do not count toward its deductible or out-of-pocket maximum. Other plans’ reimbursement rules should be checked directly. Medicare’s guidance.
Do not change or skip treatment to make a quoted price fit. Tell your clinician if affordability is a problem so you can discuss appropriate options. See our GLP-1 medication guide and latest drug-development update for more context.
